Having called the surgery earlier to speak with a doctor who has always overseen my medical care with regards to issues of fertility, pregnancy and childbirth I was abruptly told that she would not accept telephone consultations. I went on to attempt to ask advice (early pregnant and losing blood/ in pain) but was spoken over and told that it was the Doctors request before I could even speak of the nature of my inquiry. I have never called before and I'd be loathe to again - but I guess that's what you are hoping for?! Not once did the 'navigator' ask more about my symptoms or even attempt to support me in a plan. It was only last week I overheard a group of people speaking about the poor service and aggressive style of a receptionist at the surgery (not all - clearly)and in my head I was quick to defend your service - seemingly naively and prematurely. I work for Notts HC also as a Doctor and I am sad that this is what our health care has amounted to.

Although I found the wording of the letter received as very aggressive I accept that it is a generic letter because the clerical staff who send them out do not know the conversation I had with my doctor regarding my problem, saying that the telephone call I received from the receptionist confirming my results and carry on of treatment was very polite and caring dealt with in a very timely manner. I just feel someone needs to re-read the letter and put themselves in an elderly persons position of worry.

Have been with this surgery for many years and don't think I have had cause for complaint in all that time. have always been able to get an appointment if necessary or a prescription in an emergency. Have regular age related checkups. Have had to use the appointment service to access health care at hospitals and this has been done quickly and professionally. I would recommend this surgery to anyone.

I came into see a General Practisioner Nurse called Mellissa Chambers and she was absolutely brilliant with me, she made sure she was very thorough and listened to my complaints. This lady did more for me in that one appointment than my psychiatrist has ever been willing to do, I felt relieved that someone had took me seriously for once. Every doctor I have seen at the medical centre in the past has been very helpful and met my needs and the same is to be said about the nurses. I never want to go to another surgery because everyone here is amazing, even when I ring for an appointment it's very rare I get told that I can't be fitted in the same day. Thank you to you all at Newgate, you all deserve recognition for the care you give and all the hard work you put in.

i saw Dr prassad for my hgv medical whileniwas there she asked about my health and also gave me flu jab . i found Dr prassad very polite and pleasant as were the reception staff when i explained i needed appointment as soon as possible they were very helpful in getting me a appointment
